DAY 1: MEET AT TANGIER OR FINDEK AND DRIVE TO CHEFCHAOUEN

we will pick you up from the Airport/ Port and start driving through the  Rif mountains and Tetouan city  to Chfchaouen (the blue city) Its buildings and houses are all painted in blue and white and it is one of the most beautiful towns in the Rif mountains, we will start exploring this beautiful blue town situated in the Rif mountains south of the Mediterranean coastline in northwest Morocco. First, we will visit the kasbah of Chefchaouen, small but charming back to between the 15th and 16th centuries AD and we continue exploring the city, in the evening you can enjoy nice Moroccan food in a Riad.Overnight in your Riad/Hotel.

CHEFCHAOUEN – VOLUBILIS – FES

The next stop will be The world heritage site VOLUBILIS. Established before the Christian Era, at a time when the area was part of Mauretania, Volubilis was considered the administrative center of the kingdom of Mauretania and also one of the most remote cities within the Roman Empire, located in the far southwestern region, then we continue to the holly town of Moulay Idriss Zerhoune that give a great into traditional Moroccan life and arriving by evening to Fez where you will spend the night in a nice authentic riad.

FES SIGHTSEEING

In Fes, you will have a sightseeing tour where you can Walk through high walled streets, watch the daily procession of mourners entering the tomb of Fez’s founder Moulay Idriss II. the medina of Fez is Founded in the 9th century and home to the oldest university in the world what makes it the spiritual and cultural heart of Morocco. Spend the day exploring the old city, visiting, Mederassa Bou Inania, the tanneries, and the splendid Funduk Nejjarine, a beautifully restored 18th-century inn. return to your hotel to spend the night and enjoy a delicious Moroccan dinner.

DAY 2: FES – MIDELT – ZIZ VALLEY – ERFOUD – MERZOUGA

After the breakfast, we will start our long driving day to Merzouga crossing the Atlas Mountains, on the way we will pass through the clean and the most modern city in the country Ifrane arriving at the trailing edge of the Cedar Forest to – Azrou – a city located on a steep hill through a variety of woods to the famed cedar forests inhabited by endangered Barbary monkeys. We will have lunch in a Berber village before driving down the curves and join the pre-Saharan zone passing first by Errachidia and Erfoud famous for its pottery and the interesting fossil quarries in which we’ll feel the beginning of the Saharan oasis of Tafilalet then From a vast plateau you will get impressed by the huge sand dune of Merzouga appearing from the horizon,  you will ride a camel to explore inside the mysterious sand-sea of the Erg-Chebbi, one of the most fascinating sights you will ever see. spend the night in a Berber desert camp and enjoy the stars.

DAY 3: MERZOUGA – RISSANI – TODGHA GORGES – DADES

Wake up early for an unmissable sunrise over the high desert dunes after enjoying these special moments, time for breakfast and shower in the camp and get ready to continue our adventure driving from Merzouga to the most spectacular gorge of Morocco: Todra gorges that measure just 33 feet across, but the cliffs are more than 500 feet tall on either side where you can walk and explore the traditions and lifestyle of ta Berber family from this town known for making Moroccan carpets, After lunch we driver to Dades valley. Overnight and dinner in your hotel.

DAY 4: DADES VALLEY – OUARZAZATE – AIT BENHADDOU KASBAH – MARRAKECH

After breakfast, we will start our day by visiting the beautiful rock formations of Dades gorges. then drive along valley of roses to reach Kalaa M’gouna or the town of roses as it is cold, the perfect time to visit this town is in late spring months as the city is covered in roses, in every first week of May there is the annual rose festival. Next stop will be Ouarzazate also known as Hollywood of Africa where it’s cinema studio was the shooting place for many big American movies such  Lawrence of Arabia (1962), The Man Who Would Be King (1975), The Living Daylights (1987), The Last Temptation of Christ (1988), The Mummy (1999), Gladiator (2000), Kingdom of Heaven (2005), Kundun (1997), Legionnaire (1998), Hanna (2011), The Hills Have Eyes (2006), and Salmon Fishing in the Yemen (2011) were shot here, as was part of the TV series Game of Thrones. After we will visit the Kasbah Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO site ancient palace where we will have lunch and start driving to Marrakech passing by the beautiful landscapes of Berber villages and Atlas mountains.
